ROASTED CABBAGE REVIEW UP

ROASTED CABBAGE

****This one gets 4 stars. This really is very good. I still prefer butter, salt and pepper when it's cooked like this, but if you want healthy, this is the way to go. Very tasty! Don says


 it is the best cabbage he has ever eaten.  

INGREDIENTS



Instead of bacon bits, I fried bacon and crumbled it


Take outside leaves off

  rinse

Cut in half


Cut halves again

Mix olive oil. bacon bits, lemon juice,
 worcestershire, salt,  pepper, 

Add bacon or bits 



Spoon mixture over cabbage

Wrap in reynolds wrap

 
 Put in oven



425 degrees for 20-30 minutes 



Spoon mixture over cabbage

 Smells so good

Here's the recipe:



ROASTED CABBAGE

Preheat oven to 425 degrees
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 tablespoons bacon bits
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 head cabbage
  

If using bacon instead of bits, put bacon on to fry.
Clean and rinse cabbage. 
Cut cabbage into 4 wedges.
Mix oil, lemon juice, worcestershire, salt, and pepper in small bowl
Add bacon or bits.
Spoon mix over cabbage.
  individually wrapped
 Bake at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes


I put the cabbage with left over brisket and peas. Quick easy meal.
