Fill In The Blank Friday!

  1.    On Super Bowl Sunday I plan on -not sure what we are doing yet.

         2.    My favorite game day food is wings

 3.    I think the 49ers will win the Super Bowl.

           4.    On Sunday’s my favorite TV show to watch is Big Bang Theory

        5.    The best part of my week was getting outside in the warm weather.

1. When I hear there is a winter storm on the way, I stock up 

Firewood, food, water, and batteries

2. In the winter my car gets driven because here in Texas we don't have those kind of winters.

3. My favorite winter clothing items are warm socks, robes, really anything warm.

4. The snow makes me think of playing in the snow with my granddaughter at 3 am. I got her up because it was snowing and we had a great time. 

5. The one winter item I can't live without is gloves and earmuffs. They go together as one.

My new year started off

really great. Looking forward to see what 2013 has in store for me.

In 2013 I really want to accomplish

Getting all my recipes in order. I have so many that I need to go through and put them all in one place.

On cold January days, I stay warm by

building a fire and a warm blanket.

My favorite comfort food is

Biscuits and gravy although I do try not to eat this to often

January reminds me of

better things to come. Spring is right around the corner. My trip to Mackinac is coming up and then there's summer. 

My favorite winter sport is 

Figure skating. I can watch it inside my house and stay warm. I hate the cold. 

My favorite January TV shows are 

Big Bang Theory, hands down the best show on TV.

Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, Cheers. I love the comedies

Fill in the blank Friday!!

When it comes to holiday shopping,

 I try to have mine finished long before the holidays roll around. 

A few things on my Christmas wish list are 

A new MacBook Pro in Pink (which I have already received), also to be able to spent Christmas with my girls, which is going to happen.  

An intangible gift I would like to receive is 

a day to do nothing and stay in my pj's all day

A gift I would like to give this year is 

a new home paid in full for all of our girls. :)  Come on Lottery numbers!!

My Christmas will be spent 

at my daughters house, and at my house. We are having Christmas twice so we can see everyone.

My most favorite Christmas gift of all time was 

a metal dollhouse I got when I was 6 or 7 years old.

The best thing about the holidays is

being around family and friends, enjoying all the lights and music.

1.  The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to not forget the less fortunate, the homeless, ones without family, ones that just need a smile from someone. The little ones that will have no children without our help. 

2.  The holiday season is the most beautiful time of the year. Especially when you are gathered around your loved ones, laughing and enjoying each others company.

3.  When it comes to holiday decorating, I love it. If I  am going somewhere else I don't do near as much, but enjoy the decorations where ever I am at. 

4.  The thing I look forward to most about the holidays is spending it with my girls, Don and my puppy. 

5.  My favorite holiday tradition is  watching everyone open there presents and seeing the looks on the litte ones faces. 

6.  This year my Christmas plans include going down a looking at the amazing light show the  
neighborhoods put on. There is a place we went last year and I had never seen anything like it. I want to go back this year.   

7.  My favorite holiday food is  homemade fruitcake and my daughters green beans.

2.  The holiday season is 

  is my favorite time of the year. I love having my Christmas wrapped and finished before December so I can go to the malls and walk around without having to stand in all the lines. I love the hustle and bustle at Christmas and all the Christmas music playing everywhere. 

3.  When it comes to holiday decorating... 

  I love to decorate but if I am not going to be home for Christmas I don't do alot. I still do some so the people that house sit for us will still have some decorations around along with some nice snacks sitting around.

4. The thing I look forward to most about the holidays is  

 getting to see my girls. That makes my Christmas complete.  

5. My favorite holiday tradition is 

 making an angel food cake and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Also, opening presents the night before we are supposed to has become a tradition with my girls. They open some of them but not all. Also Laci thinks she should get them all before Christmas. lol 

6. This year my Christmas plans include  

 spending special time with my girls. Can't wait. 

7.  My favorite holiday food is 

 just sampling all the goodies sitting around. I don't know that I have a favorite holiday food. Does Moscato count??!! :)

A life goal of mine is 

to always be a great mom and grandmother.  I always hope that there will some parts of me that they will want to carry over to their children.

Most mornings you will find me
enjoying a cup of coffee, loving on my puppy, checking my mail, and my blog, before my day gets started.  

Right now I am super into
finishing up my Christmas so I don't have to think about it. I have already shipped most of it to North Carolina. Have just a couple more things to get and should be finished. Hopefully will get those this week. 


Right now I am super over
hearing about the election. Obama won, let's move on. There's still so much need from Sandy. That's were the focus should be.

1. Something I swore I'd never do, but have ended up doing anyway is...

FILL IN THE BLANK FRIDAY

1.  My favorite feeling in all the world is when I am surrounded by my girls and grandchildren, and know they are all safe and happy.   

2.  My favorite smell is ocean air. I love the smell of being near the ocean. 

3.  My favorite taste is Scallops in Scotland at Silver Darlings. Yep, need to go back there just to get them again.

4. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was  both my daughters eyes the first time they looked into mine, when they were born.  Wow!! That was beautiful.

5. The best sound ever is  the phone ringing when it's my daughters on the other end of it.  Makes my whole day.

6. A smell that reminds me of my childhood is  fresh cut grass on a spring day

7.  My favorite of all the senses is sight. If I had to I could live without sound. There's so many way for the deaf to communicate these days.  I don't think I could stand never seeing the faces, and smiles of my loved ones.

FILL IN THE BLANK FRIDAY!!

1.  One thing I plan on doing to relax this weekend is Having a nice lunch somewhere out with Don and Sammy

2.  A big pet peeve of mine  is  eating and chewing with your mouth open. Talking with food in your mouth. Everyone doesn’t need to see your chewed up food. That’s just gross!

3.  I am really  loving my new blog. I am having fun trying to figure everything out and posting lots of different things.

4. The rain is a beautiful sound, especially if it comes with thunderstorms. I love sleeping when it’s raining with the windows open.

5. My favorite girly indulgence is getting my nails done and a pedicure at the same time. Just so nice to have that couple hours to do nothing but relax and read. Love the massage chairs.

6. A song I always get stuck in my head is “So Call Me Maybe”  Thank you Brittany!! 

7.  The best cure for stress is playing with my Sammy Boy. He loves to play. And he’s so funny. Can’t help but laugh at the little guy.
