How To Remove Wine Bottle Labels to Replace With Your Own!

***I thought I had this already on the blog. Sorry it is so late. Maybe you can do it for next year or any other special occasion you may have.

How to replace wine bottle labels with your own personalized labels

This is the wine that we are going to re-label with our labels

Start with OXI Clean. Put about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup into a
sink of very warm water.

Swish it around to get the Oxi Clean working

Soak your bottles lying down or standing up for about an hour.
I actually left my in the water all night. Next morning they peeled
right off.

Then check to see if your labels will just peel off very easy

Once your labels are off

you can use an sos pad to remove the glue easily

Then rinse your wine bottles well

Dry and they are ready for the new labels.

Go online and find your labels you want.
They are free which is really nice.
Design it anyway you want.

These are ours for this year.

Love them!

Enjoy! Easy to do!

Awesome Flea Market Finds!

Got a call early to show the house at 9:30 am.
We jumped and got dressed, made the beds, turned all the lights on and out to breakfast we went. Then they called and said they wanted to reschedule for 11:30 to 1:30. So we decided to go walk around the flea market to kill some time.

Here are my finds at the flea market today.

I loved this vase. I talked the guy down to

Letter to President Obama!

Well said-

"Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don’t believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate. Now I live in a “rest home”

A Great Story to Read First Thing In the Morning!

So I was just on my way to work and I had to stop for gas so I allowed myself some extra time to get to work. When I pulled up to the pump I shut my car off and saw this middle aged man crying looking at the gas pump. I began to wonder what happened with this man and as I got out of my car and looked at him my heart felt like it stopped.

In Apple Valley, Minnesota it is 10 degrees and freezing cold with the wind. This man was wearing flip flops with socks covered in holes. I look I his car and see his wife in the front seat covering her face in her hands and the 2 teenage girls both of cuddling under a blanket in the back seat.

I didn't even think and I went up to the man and said sir is something the matter? He looked at me and I could tell he was on the verge of giving up because he didn't even try to conceal his tears when he said I can't even provide for my family.

Without even thinking I put my card in his machine and tell him Jesus Christ the Son of God died to provide for you. Fill up. Something, something came alive in him. He was in shock and it was like he forgot how to pump gas.

In that same moment his wife got out of her car, she asked her husband what was going on and he told her I just payed for their gas she started to cry and came around the corner to shake my hand when I saw her pants dirty and torn. I asked her to come to my car.

The airport lost some of my luggage on my way to MInnesota from California and I had to clean out my closet to find stuff to wear and get rid of a lot of stuff all of that stuff that I had yet to give away was siting in the back seat of the car and in the trunk. I opened up my car and told the lady to take what she wanted.

This lady RAN back to her car. I was so afraid I had just embraced her but a moment later her and her two girls were digging through those clothes layering my sweatshirts and shirts and sweat pants over the worn out clothes they had been wearing.

Soon the father had finished pumping the gas and came over. This attracted a little crowd at the gas station. An some older man gave the family a cub gift card and another middle aged man gave away his jacket to the father. Never in my life did I think I would see this kind of thing happen at a gas station with a handful of complete strangers.

But it gives me hope. That the love of God can be so contagious. That we are not alone in being the change we want to see in the world. That God's love is greater than anything and we get to be a part of that love changing lives. And HE always

What a heartwarming story.

Suspended Coffee!

I love this idea!!!

There’s a new movement called SUSPENDED COFFEES. This will warm you better than a coffee in a cold winter day:

"We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of
mine and give our order. While we're approaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter - 'Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended.'

They pay for their order, take the two and leave. I ask my friend:
'What are those 'suspended' coffees ?'

'Wait for it and you will see.'

Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers - three for them and four 'suspended'. While I still wonder what's the deal with those 'suspended' coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square in front of the café. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in through the door and kindly asks

'Do you have a suspended coffee?'

It's simple - people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm beverage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal."
