Ireland-Here She Comes!!!

Greetings friends and adventure seekers!

Her name is Laci Renee and she is  an advocate for destroying human trafficking.

A brief history:

She  majored in Law, wanting to become am I.C.E. agent to rescue trafficking victims. Her family convinced her  to pursue a less dangerous course of action so she changed her major to Social Work and lasted an entire semester before she nearly went insane with frustration over what she  could do to PREVENT individuals from ever becoming victims? She made a final switch to Event Management. It is her goal in life to raise awareness of this cause, preventing 1,000s of women and children from ever being victimized to begin with and ultimately open safe homes in the major cities of the U.S. for those who were victims of this monstrous crime that IS in all of our backyards.
That's all well and good but then it dawned on her... She has no actual experience in this field! Sure, she's read the books and watched the documentaries but she lacked any true life experience. That's when her search began.

The Internship:
After searching through countless organizations for jobs or internships she was shocked to find out the International Justice Missions had an internship program. International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. It is one of the most well-known names in this field but they are extremely selective in who they bring into their operations. She applied and after a 2 month interviewing process she was accepted! And what was even better was getting her first choice location in Northern, Ireland

IJM UK opened a new regional office in Northern Ireland in 2011. Her role would include, but is not limited to:
•Research and assist in developing key relationships with church leaders, pastors, youth and student leaders, and civic leaders to secure high level speaking engagements•Research fundraising, marketing and other development techniques•Assist in coordinating volunteer communications/training/management•Develop talks and seminars that can be used within educational institutes and extend the student and schools work program•Speak at churches, youth / student groups or events on behalf of IJM UK when appropriate and Represent IJM UK at events•Research/develop IJM press relations and assist with media initiatives

This is a dream come true for her!

The only downfall, (aside from a Floridian experiencing an Irish winter) is that the internship is entirely unpaid.

Below is the information that IJM UK sent her concerning cost:
IJM UK Internship Costs

That is $8,000-$12,500 for the entire trip!
Everything has to be covered- even the bare essentials that are not included in a nice little chart. She's hoping that she can get by on the basics and is shooting for an $800 a month budget. In the 10 months that she will be there that will equate to $8,000 dollars.

That's where you come in. Any donations, in any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, please pray for her and her goals. Also, if you could please pass this on to all you can, so others that might want to help with this kind of goal, may do so.

Laci is my daughter and  has been accepted to do her internship in Ireland with IJM. She is estasic. So now  the  goal, is to get her there and her needs met for 10 months in another country. Since this is entirely unpaid, we are looking for any kindness and help sponsoring her and her cause.

Thank you so very much for you kindness.

xoxo
Lenetta
