RECIPE:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large egg
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 garlic gloves, minced divided
1 (8ounce) pack or 2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup thinly sliced onions
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sherry
1 cup reduced sodium beef broth
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

In a medum bowl, mix together the beef, egg, pepper, breadcrumbs, minced onion, worcestershire sauce, and 1 garlic clove. Mix and shape into 4- patties

Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and place over medium heat. Add the patties, and cook for 4 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Remove the burgers and set aside.

Increase the heat to medium high. Add the mushrooms, garlic, and sliced onions. Crush the thyme with your fingers and cook for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and stir. Add the sherry and broth and cook for 1 minutes. (I added it all at the same time) Season with salt and pepper.  Return the burgers to the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes, until thoroughly heated through.

ENJOY!!
