All American Meatloaf Minis Review!

All American  Meatloaf Minis

I am giving this 4 stars for the taste. It really does have a lot of flavor in it. It is a bit dry, not to bad though, but I guess that

goes with it being healthier. Don says it had great flavor and he enjoyed it.  It's also easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:

Put Turkey in large bowl

Add lean ground beef

Add Oats

Add onion

Add egg

Add Milk

Add garlic powder

Add Salt

Add Pepper

Mix Well

Instead of putting them in muffin pans, I just made little loafs

Mix ketchup and mustard

Add Molasses

Mix Well

Spoon over meatloaf

Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Enjoy!

**I doubled the recipe**

RECIPE:

1/2 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound lean ground turkey
2/3 cup rolled quick cooking oats
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 large egg
2 tablespoons low fat milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons ketchup or reduced sugar ketchup
(I use reduced sugar)  **Subtract 2 grams of carbohydrate and sugar if
 reduced sugar ketchup is used**
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon molasses

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Spray 6 muffin cups with nonstick cooking spray

In a large bowl, use your hands to knead together the beef, turkey, oats, onion, egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly combined. Divide the meatloaf mixture into 6 balls and place in each muffin cup.  Press and arrange ball to form to muffin cup but do not pack. Create a smooth rounded top.

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, and molasses to make a glaze. Spoon the glaze on top of each loaf.

Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until well browned and cooked through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
