Good Morning!
Went house hunting last night. Saw 4 houses.
House number 1. I loved, loved, loved!
But it backed to a large empty area, and when Don checked, it was zoned for commercial. They could put anything back there. Plus an 18 lane highway is being built right there also and the traffic noise could be a problem in a few years. (I still believe the waterfall on the pool was loud enough to distract from any noise.
House number 2. While having enough land to have horses, and backing to the lake with a boatdock, and having a great pool, the house would need a lot of updating inside.
House number 3. A great yard with beautiful mature trees all over it, but thats the best I can say about it. Not anything at all that I liked about the house.
House number 4. Don found this one. It was a beautiful house, but it had been deserted by previous owners and not sure what was happening with this one. Needed some work inside but still amazing house. But for 485,000.00 you shouldn't have to go in and do a lot of work.
So the search continues.
The very first house we looked at a couple of weeks ago, we both really liked. But they got an offer on it the day we were supposed to see it. 4 acres, horses ok, amazing front and back yard and great pool. Apartment above garage. Double fenced with electric gate.
This house we looked at also a couple of weeks ago. We both loved it. But they had 2 offers on it, so I figured it wasn't supposed to be ours. Well, now, it is back on the market. Both deals fell through. So we will wait and see what happens. Beautiful house inside and great pool with waterfall.
The nice part is we are in no hurry, so we can take our time and wait for that perfect house to show up.
Just got word we are showing our house again today. Yea!!!
Will keep you posted on house hunting.
Have a great day.

Buying, selling, moving -- none of it is for sissies! I'm sure you will find exactly what you want. Good luck!
Thanks Carol. You are right. It is all a lot of work. Have a wonderful day. :)
I've wanted to say previously that I love your current house. It looks gorgeous!
As for your house hunt, I wish you luck. Personally, I would veto the first house. I don't like the idea of a commercial building or a freeway being put in either. I would also keep the second house in the running. It goes back to location, location, location. You can fix up the interior, but you can't change where a house actually is. I also like the look of the last house that you both loved. I hope that one works out for you!
HI, thank you for the kind words. Yes, we have taken the first one off our list. Actually, we have taken all of those off except the last one. We showed our house yesterday, and this morning, we have word that they want to make an offer. Wish us luck. Have a great day. :)
