Dear Noah,
I miss you so much. I have dreamed about you almost every night since you went to the Rainbow Bridge. Can't wait to see you again someday. I love you, my feathered friend.

Dear Sammy,
I know I hold you a little tighter these days, I talk to you more and tell you how much you are

Holiday Diet Soup!

Holiday Diet Soup
This soup is not only tasty but is also good for you. And any soup that can help lose weight, I'm all for. I have made this a couple other times and it does seem to work. I like that I don't get hungry right before dinner, (which I usually do). This

What I'm Using To Get In Shape!

It's so beautiful outside now that it is time to get ready for spring and summer.

So back to eating right and exercising.

Took Sammy for an hour walk today around the lake. Time Sammy, Don and I all get back in shape.

Then home to make a soup that I found over

How To Remove Wine Bottle Labels to Replace With Your Own!

***I thought I had this already on the blog. Sorry it is so late. Maybe you can do it for next year or any other special occasion you may have.

How to replace wine bottle labels with your own personalized labels

This is the wine that we are going to re-label with our labels

Start with OXI Clean. Put about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup into a
sink of very warm water.

Swish it around to get the Oxi Clean working

Soak your bottles lying down or standing up for about an hour.
I actually left my in the water all night. Next morning they peeled
right off.

Then check to see if your labels will just peel off very easy

Once your labels are off

you can use an sos pad to remove the glue easily

Then rinse your wine bottles well

Dry and they are ready for the new labels.

Go online and find your labels you want.
They are free which is really nice.
Design it anyway you want.

These are ours for this year.

Love them!

Enjoy! Easy to do!

Chocolate Eclair Cake!

  Chocolate Eclair Cake
Hands down. One of the best desserts I have ever made. The crust is flaky, not dry. The cake itself is so light and fluffy, it's hard to stop eating it. Everyone loved this cake. I will be making this one again and again. I was concerned about the crust

Catch Up!

I have had a couple of my blog friends ask where I have been. I have not been on here for awhile as we have had a lot going on. So very quickly, I will do a catch up.

We are enjoying our new home.

We have done a lot to it but still have a

Finally!! I Did It!!

Two days ago, after immediately cutting into the main water line on the first hole I dug, I stopped.
(I couldn't believe how high that water shot up.)

Decided I wasn't going to plant the bamboo. Someone else could do it.

We called all the utility people,

They all came and put their little orange and yellow flags and orange lines all over this area. Looked a little intimidating.

I woke up at 6:30 am yesterday,

AND

I  decided to give it another try.

I started digging holes for the bamboo, and I ran into 2 tree stumps, 3 different cables, several white pipes going back and forth, not to mention the sprinklers. I guess thats why they call it a utility easement.

I dug very very carefully and to my knowledge, didn't hurt anything else. lol

I worked on this from 6:30 am until after 4 pm.

My whole body aches,

but I am proud to say they are in the ground and looking good.

All I have to do now is get them mulched
really well and they are good to go.

Here was my little partner in crime. See his little muddy footprints.

So happy this is in the ground

This morning I went out and mulched it all.

Thank goodness for this trusty little gorilla wagon Don got me. I haul everything in it, mix dirt in it, put mulch in it. So easy to move around. Thank you Don!!

Sammy decided to watch me on the back of the sofa today.

By this time next year you won't even know those houses are behind us.

Before

After

That will make me very happy.

I am putting in 3 skyrockets in the middle space. Don't think I can get those for a couple months yet. Not sure how well I will love these with the bamboo but going to give it a try. Can always put bamboo in later if I don't like them.

We thought they would look pretty to decorate at Christmas and you can see them from the road.

Did I Really!!!!

This day started with a cold front.  Ha Ha
It was already cold out, then I had to get soaked digging a hole.

I got up early to go out and start working my dirt and digging the holes for the bamboo.
I was still working on the first hole when all of a sudden I hit and cut through with the shovel,

the Main Water Line. Oh my!!

I text  Don who was in a meeting and said call me ASAP!!!!

He did. He told me to get the channel locks and go out front and turn the main water off.  I did.

So there goes my day. I can't plant my trees,

 I can't give Sammy a bath,

 I can't do laundry

So I ended up with a very relaxing easy day.

Don called the sprinkler guy and he came out and fixed everything. Yea!!!!

So I guess I will try again tomorrow. If I do it again, at least I know who to call.

WHO YOU GONNA CALL??

SPRINKLER MAN!! THAT' WHO!!

Don thinks I may need him on speed dial. LOL
