YARD SALE WAS A SUCCESS!! 

I was hoping to make $500.00 from it and brought in over $900.00.  WOO-HOO!!! So happy about 

KICK-ASS MARGARITAS

Just a quick note about the recipe for ribs and smoked potatoes I wrote last night.

 Our friends Tom and Solie came over with pitchers of kick-ass Margaritas and they were so good. 

Anyway, later after they left and I was pretty buzzed I guess I decided to finish the rib blog. Ha Ha. I was going to go in and  change  some things that I normally would not put n a blog but Don said, "No".  He thought it was funny and wanted me to leave it alone, so I did.

 So that is what's up with the odd comments in the ribs blog. Just thought I should explain that.

 I hope everyone is having a super Sunday. I know I am. More about that later. :)

SMOKED BABY BACK RIBS WITH ESPRESSO SAUCE

*****This one gets 5 stars. These ribs just don't get any better. 

Every time I cook these, I am asked for the recipe. 

They are so so so delicious!!!! And they smell amazing!!!

****I sometimes just run over to Starbucks and grab a 2 shot espresso. It is exactly 1/4 cup so its perfect.

SPOILED ROTTEN SAMMY BOY!!

I want to share an incident that happened with this puppy today. Don and I had some errands to run and Sammy almost always goes with us. We went out and locked the door and here comes Sammy out his doggy door. In the car he jumped and we backed out of the drive. I, for whatever reason, said, "Let"s leave Sammy here tonight." 

Sooo, 

Not to hurt his feelings, we drove to the park, walked him around and then took him back home. 

Then we went and ran our errands.

  

He is one spoiled rotten little guy!! 

He also has his parents trained rather well.  LOL

****I don't drink red wine but Don prefers it.
 So tonight he is trying this one. 

Don says it has a fruity taste.  It's not as dry as most cabernets.  Don says he would recommend it. He  gives this 4 out of 5 stars  for this price range.  He says it is a great bottle of red wine in the $15-$20 price point. Don  says it would go well with any red meat or tomato based pasta dish. For an everyday wine, this is one of Don's favorites.

YARD SALE READY!!!

WHEW!!! 

It's amazing what all you can find that you forgot you had when you are cleaning out for a yard sale. 

Found so many things, pictures,  etc that we had forgot we had.  We had a ton of things for the sale. I am hoping to make a minimum of $500.00. Wish me luck!! 

One thing we found while we were going through stuff was this little green frog.   Well that's what it was when it was new. It looks like something dead now.  lol  It was actually Sammy's very first play toy when he was a puppy six years ago. He carried that little frog everywhere. It was so cute.

I showed it to him and he acted like he knew exactly what it was. He took it from me and played with it. He threw it around and ran around with it. It was so cute. He wouldn't let me or Don have it back. He is just to cute.  

Anyway, I think we are as ready as we are going to be. Every item is priced.  I have always  hated going to sales and nothing has a price on it. I hate having to ask the price for every item I am interested in. So if it is in my sale, it has a price on it. Ω Tables are out with all the stuff on them. I have them covered for tonight. We are getting up at 5 am -Yuk!!! for coffee and to put the furniture out.  People start flooding this neighborhood no later than 6 am.  Even though you would think it would be at least 8.  Oh well, I just want to sell, sell, sell, tomorrow.

YIPES! YARD SALE TOMORROW!!!

Wow! I am having a very busy day.  I am trying to get things out and priced for the yard sale tomorrow morning.  I have a lot priced already but still a lot more to get out and price.  It's a big mess right now, but come morning it will all be organized and out in the driveway, priced. :) Don called and he is going to try to come home at 2 today so he can help me.  I will love his help.  He helped me last night quite a bit. He carried recliners, tables, treadmill, massage chair, slot machine,

FILL IN THE BLANK FRIDAY!!

1.  One thing I plan on doing to relax this weekend is Having a nice lunch somewhere out with Don and Sammy

2.  A big pet peeve of mine  is  eating and chewing with your mouth open. Talking with food in your mouth. Everyone doesn’t need to see your chewed up food. That’s just gross!

3.  I am really  loving my new blog. I am having fun trying to figure everything out and posting lots of different things.

4. The rain is a beautiful sound, especially if it comes with thunderstorms. I love sleeping when it’s raining with the windows open.

5. My favorite girly indulgence is getting my nails done and a pedicure at the same time. Just so nice to have that couple hours to do nothing but relax and read. Love the massage chairs.

6. A song I always get stuck in my head is “So Call Me Maybe”  Thank you Brittany!! 

7.  The best cure for stress is playing with my Sammy Boy. He loves to play. And he’s so funny. Can’t help but laugh at the little guy.

*****These get 5 stars.  They are so delicious!!  They taste so much like the ones at Red Lobster.  I was amazed at how quick and easy they are to make. Yum! Will make these again and again.   

PORK CHOP REVIEW UP!!!

             DOUBLE CRUNCH HONEY GARLIC PORk CHOPS

*****This one gets 5 stars. These are so delicious. Don said it was the best pork chop he has ever eaten. I made 5 instead of 6. I made 4 of them a little different than the recipe calls for because I was reading the comments and several people said there breading didn't stay on. So on the second dip, (see recipe) ,  I used Panko bread crumbs. I did however make 1 of them the way the recipe calls for to see what the different would be. Don and I both agreed on the outcome.
