Suspended Coffee!

I love this idea!!!

There’s a new movement called SUSPENDED COFFEES. This will warm you better than a coffee in a cold winter day:

"We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of
mine and give our order. While we're approaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter - 'Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended.'

They pay for their order, take the two and leave. I ask my friend:
'What are those 'suspended' coffees ?'

'Wait for it and you will see.'

Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers - three for them and four 'suspended'. While I still wonder what's the deal with those 'suspended' coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square in front of the café. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in through the door and kindly asks

'Do you have a suspended coffee?'

It's simple - people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm beverage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal."

It's OK Thursday!

It's OK
that I didn't do anything in the house yesterday. I have to get this garden planted.

It's Ok
that I had the police come out the other night. I don't like calling them. I figure they have better things to do than come check on me but with all the home invasions

Charged with murder for killing babies 30 seconds too late: the absurdity of the Gosnell trial

My Garden Survived!

My Garden Survived!

I was sure while I was in Florida I would have lost my garden but for the most part it's still doing fine.

So this week we will be eating lettuce salads and also spinach salads. Yum!!!

I even ate this radish and wow, was it full of flavor that you just don't get from the ones at the store.

I have spinach and leaf lettuce ready to eat. Green onions are almost ready.
Some radishes are ready. Strawberries are coming on.

Tomatoes are doing well. Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, and Thyme are doing well.

Cauliflower, head lettuce, cabbage, and green onions

Now I need to get some corn, peas, and beans planted. Some more okra, zucchini, and bell peppers.

Also potatoes, garlic and red and yellow onions.

I guess I had better get busy!!!

Trying to get back into the swing!

Good morning. I think!!
Having trouble getting back into the swing of things.

Cleaned house yesterday

Watched the trial

  Made an easy dinner
Steak and cheese with mushrooms and onions with au jus , Broccoli and cheese, and homemade fries.

It was easy and delicious.

Later drank some wine

And that was pretty much my day.

Right now it doesn't look like I am going to do a whole lot more today.

NO TRIAL TODAY. Darn!!!!
