Finally!! I Did It!!
Two days ago, after immediately cutting into the main water line on the first hole I dug, I stopped.
(I couldn't believe how high that water shot up.)
Decided I wasn't going to plant the bamboo. Someone else could do it.
We called all the utility people,
They all came and put their little orange and yellow flags and orange lines all over this area. Looked a little intimidating.
I woke up at 6:30 am yesterday,
AND
I decided to give it another try.
I started digging holes for the bamboo, and I ran into 2 tree stumps, 3 different cables, several white pipes going back and forth, not to mention the sprinklers. I guess thats why they call it a utility easement.
I dug very very carefully and to my knowledge, didn't hurt anything else. lol
I worked on this from 6:30 am until after 4 pm.
My whole body aches,
but I am proud to say they are in the ground and looking good.
All I have to do now is get them mulched
really well and they are good to go.
Here was my little partner in crime. See his little muddy footprints.
This morning I went out and mulched it all.
Thank goodness for this trusty little gorilla wagon Don got me. I haul everything in it, mix dirt in it, put mulch in it. So easy to move around. Thank you Don!!
Sammy decided to watch me on the back of the sofa today.
By this time next year you won't even know those houses are behind us.
That will make me very happy.
I am putting in 3 skyrockets in the middle space. Don't think I can get those for a couple months yet. Not sure how well I will love these with the bamboo but going to give it a try. Can always put bamboo in later if I don't like them.
We thought they would look pretty to decorate at Christmas and you can see them from the road.
xoxo

Did I Really!!!!
This day started with a cold front. Ha Ha
It was already cold out, then I had to get soaked digging a hole.
I got up early to go out and start working my dirt and digging the holes for the bamboo.
I was still working on the first hole when all of a sudden I hit and cut through with the shovel,
the Main Water Line. Oh my!!
I text Don who was in a meeting and said call me ASAP!!!!
He did. He told me to get the channel locks and go out front and turn the main water off. I did.
So there goes my day. I can't plant my trees,
I can't give Sammy a bath,
I can't do laundry
So I ended up with a very relaxing easy day.
Don called the sprinkler guy and he came out and fixed everything. Yea!!!!
So I guess I will try again tomorrow. If I do it again, at least I know who to call.
WHO YOU GONNA CALL??
SPRINKLER MAN!! THAT' WHO!!
Don thinks I may need him on speed dial. LOL

Not Sure! Your Thoughts!
Got these pots for the topiaries. Not sure I love them.
Don really likes them. I think they might need to
be larger and put some greenery under them.
What do you think?
Also, found these rugs and this little vase.

Friday Letters
Dear Mom,
I wish I could understand you when you talk a little better. I know the medicine keeps you groggy. I try to call at different times, to catch you when the medicine has worn off alittle but not having much luck. Working on trying to get you a lift chair so you won't fall as much when you get up. I miss you. Hope to see you soon.
Dear Ervin,
Good luck on getting your new place. I hope you find it on Saturday. I miss you and love you.
Dear Laci,
I loved talking to you the other day. I am sorry you were not here for Halloween. I know its your favorite time of year. But happy, happy, happy, (Phil's saying on ducks), :) that you will be home for Christmas. Maybe next year you and Kisha can come to Texas. But happy I am going to be in Florida with you both this Christmas.
Dear Kisha,
Good Luck with your housewife blog. I know you will work it out one way or the other. I can't wait to see you guys at Christmas. Give Jackson a big hug for me.
Dear Brittany,
Tomorrow is your birthday. I hope its the best ever. I love you. Call me sometime.
Dear House,
Please sell this time. We have made an offer on another house so you need to be gone.
Dear New House,
Don is so so excited to move in to you. I don't think I have ever seen him so excited about anything. He loves you so I hope it all works out. I can't wait to get in there to get you all decorated up.
Dear Johnny,
It was great hearing your voice the other day. I really miss talking to you.
Dear Meagan,
Woo-hoo! A few more days and Jaxson will enter this great big world. Can't wait to get my hands on him. Don and I got our whooping cough shots. My arm is really sore from it. But worth it. Come on Jaxson. You are being greatly anticipated.
Dear Don,
Woo-Hoo! House is sold and we have new one on the way. Can't wait to get moved in and start fixing it up the way we want it. Love that it has a heated pool. And love the infinity spa. Thats really cool. Now for all to go well with both houses and get them both to closing. :)
Dear Aunt Faye,
I hope all goes well on your move to Brenda's. I hope you are happy there. I will come and see you as soon as I get to Indiana. I love you very much. Good Luck.
Dear Dynasty Ducks,
Thank you for all the laughs every night. I record all your shows. Thank you Phil for telling them if you have to give up your God and your guns on the show, there would be no show. So happy, happy, happy, they signed you on for another season. Hopefully many more to come. Cant wait to get to Monroe and eat in your new restaurant. You guys are the best.
xoxo

Once again, it's time to celebrate Columbus Day. Yet, the stunning truth is: If Christopher Columbus were alive today, he would be put on trial for crimes against humanity.Columbus' reign of terror, as documented by noted historians, was so bloody, his legacy so unspeakably cruel, that Columbus makes a modern villain like Saddam Hussein look like a pale codfish.
Question: Why do we honor a man who, if he were alive today, would almost certainly be sitting on Death Row awaiting execution?

Linked to Sexual Trafficking!
Time to shut down the porn industry for good

September 26, 2013 (PornHarms) - The porn industry just ended its self-imposed shut down, but one must wonder why. The industry stopped shooting films after four porn stars tested positive for HIV in the last month. However, HIV is only one of many health problems common to the industry. Others include chlamydia, gonorrhea, and herpes. And though these infections often leave permanent damage, they are but a small part of the devastation pornography brings.
Harms from pornography include increased demand for sexual trafficking, increased violence against women,

This is why we can't let them take our guns. If these people had guns, there may not be so many dead and injured. So sad.
