UPDATE!! If you pump gas, read this warning!!

UPDATE:
I just looked into this on Snopes and it says it is false. I usually, always check these things out before posting them, but since this came from our Home Owners, I assumed it was true.
My bad!  But at the least, it does make you be a little more aware of your surroundings. Again, sorry for the false post.

This just came to us from our
Home Owners Association.

We live in Houston, but if it's happening here, more and likely it is happening all over the country.
Better safe than sorry!!

Be careful at gas stations & parking lots/criminals giving free key rings with device chip.
There is a syndicate of criminals presenting themselves as sales promoters who are giving free key rings at gas stations and parking lots. The key ring has a tracking device chip which allows the criminals to track and follow you.
Please, please don't accept them. They select their seemingly well-to-do potential victims and if you accept, you might become a victim of their tricks. The key holders are very beautiful and hard to resist accepting; but remember, you may end up paying more than the cost of a key holder, including the risk to your life. Please advise your family members, email contacts, and friends as well

Great Ways to use corks from wine bottles!!

Fun ways to use your wine corks!!

To sweet- a little birdhouse

Adorable coaster set

It's Ok Thursday!

IT'S OK
that I got up and got ready to meet Don, Meagan and Jacey for lunch, then decided not to go. It would have took me 40 minutes to get where they are and in Houston traffic. No thank you.

IT'S OK,
that I build a fire and forgot to open the damper. The house got a little smoky but the fans cleared it out.

IT'S OK
if I don't get everything done on my goals list this week. I will put them on next weeks. But I am still trying to finish it.

IT'S OK
that I didn't go anywhere at all for the last two days. It was pouring rain both days and I just did not want to drive in it.

IT'S Ok
if I just go to the park with Sammy today and read. I just don't feel like doing a lot today.

IT'S OK
that I am having a Big Mac attack today. Guess what's for lunch? :)

IT'S OK
that it's ok!

HERSHEY CHOCOLATE
TO STOP USING
CHILD LABOR TO MAKE THEIR
CHOCOLATE!!!
AWESOME!!!!
Green America Letterhead
Dear Lenetta,
Thank You.
Thank you for all your actions and support for a greener economy in 2012.  We got Hershey to commit to stopping abusive child labor in their cocoa supply chain, introduced Clean Energy Victory Bonds in Congress, launched our biggest campaign ever for sustainable food, and helped thousands of local, green businesses emerge and thrive.  Together, we are a powerful force!
We're looking forward to working with you in 2013 to accelerate the green economy and a more just, sustainable world.  We'll be taking action on the top priorities of the green economy -- taking back our energy, food, and financing systems; making supply chains more fair; and advancing green businesess.
In the days ahead, we'll be sharing our plans (and requesting your feedback!) for advancing each of these big green-economy priorities in 2013.  I look forward to taking action with you throughout the year.

Here's to a(n even) green(er) 2013,

One way to use those wine corks!!

A great way to use a few of those
 corks from wine bottles!!

My daughter, Laci decided she needs to lose a few pounds so she

decided to keep track by putting two jars together.

One for pounds to lose
The other for pounds lost.

What a great motivator to see the one
jar go down and the pounds lost to go up.

I really love this idea.

Good luck honey. I love you.

Do you drink wine!!

Are you a wine drinker at home???

What do you do with those 1 or 2 glasses that can't go in the dishwasher. Do you wash them by hand then dry them and put them up, or wash them and put them on the edge of the sink to dry. Either way, thanks to my daughter, Kisha, I now have a wonderful solution.

A wine glass holder

AWESOME!!!

I love, love, love this.

Problem solved!

Thank you Kisha. I love it and i love you!!

This is a wonderful idea!!

Prevention of Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault with DrinkSavvy Color Chan...

Cups that change colors to warn you of date rape drugs

Typically date rape drugs are so hard to detect because they're odorless, colorless, and tasteless that many unsuspecting revelers aren't aware they're being victimized until it's too late.
Now a start-up called DrinkSavvy is hoping to fight sexual assault by warning people about what may be in their cup.  DrinkSavvy, which is currently looking for funds on Indiegogo, has developed a line of cups, straws and drink stirrers that can detect “date rape” drugs, instantly.
DrinkSavvy founder Mike Abramson worked with chemistry professor John MacDonald at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts to develop a special material that changes color when it comes in contact with three common 'date rape' drugs: GHB, ketamine, and rohypnol. Abramson is offering the products online for free at select rape crisis centers, and hopes to expand their use at bars, colleges, and clubs.
He says he got the idea for the cups after he was a victim of the drugs himself. “Within the past three years, three of my very close friends — and myself — have been the unwitting victims of being drugged. … And I want to prevent it from happening to anyone else,” he said.
This isn't the first attempt to introduce drug-detecting drinking devices. In August, a professor at Tel Aviv University developed an anti-date rape straw which could detect ketamine and GHB.

What an awesome idea. I hope to see these everywhere soon. I have a daughter
in college and I worry about every time she goes out.

Bring on those cups!!

What Would You Do??

“A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu...
Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the
