My cousins came down for a visit this past few days.
Linda recently lost her husband of many years and Lisa, her dad. They have really had a tough
time. Sometimes, it's just good to get away for a little while and change the scenery. I was so happy to hear they were coming down.
Linda had never flown on a plane and she was concerned. She did great with it. I had decided if she hated it and was really scared to fly home, I was prepared to drive them. But she flew home just fine.
We had so much fun with both of them.
They got in on Thursday evening, so we sat around the pool and just had a wonderful visit.
On Friday morning, I cooked breakfast, then off to Old Town Spring.
I love all the little shops there
Don went with us, but once we were in Old Town,
he headed over to the Loose Caboose
to sit in the air conditioning and drink a couple of beers.
Us girls went shopping. :) And thats never a bad thing!!!
It was warm so we stopped for a cool drink
Lisa found these plants she loved and was going to go back and get them before we left. By then, they were closed. :( But good news!!! I found them and put them in the mail to her for her birthday. :)
Lisa found the wine so we did a wine tasting LOL

We met back up with Don for lunch and by then he had been there for about 6 hours.
He was feeling no pain. I drove after that. lol Lisa joined him with a couple of beers.
Once we left Spring, we headed to Gallery Furniture.
while Don entertained us all with his drinking humor. LOL We laughed so hard at him. He was so funny!
I am sure they were wondering why I felt they needed to see this furniture store.
Once we got there, they understood.
They loved it.
We had pizza, soda, cookies, and ice cream.
Best part, it was all free
They loved all the beautiful birds

Once we left Gallery Furniture,
we headed over to Cavenders
So Lisa could find her a western blouse.
While there, Don not being in his usual state of mind, found a pair of boots that he was determined to get. Only problem, they were almost $800.00.
The salesman was doing a fine job on him, and didn't like it when I would come over. lol
I finally had to tell him, if you get up tomorrow and you still want them, we will come back and get them.
Needless to say, he did not go back for them. lol
We left there and went home. Don got in the pool and had cheese and crackers while the boys looked on.
We sat out by the pool and just enjoyed the great company.
On Saturday morning, I fixed breakfast, then we were off to Kemah.

We shopped some more. We checked out the new man cave shop. I loved it. May have to get back down there before Christmas.
We had lunch at Cadillacs mexican restaurant on the water. We were going to sit out and watch the boats but it was just too hot.
We checked out the all the fish at the aquarium. I think Linda really loved that.
Once finished at Kemah, we headed to Galveston.
To do what? Shop some more. lol We ended up on the Strand to shop and drink.
Lisa decided after we had a couple of beers that she needed to turn me on to a shot called,
"Porn Star on the Beach".
I never, ever, ever do shots but I did two of these with her.
We had so much fun. We sat by the water and watched the waves and birds, while Linda and Don sat on the steps.

After we left Galveston, we headed to Zuma amusement to play putt putt golf
and after another Porn Star shot and beer,
we found this horse
we did a little pole dancing
while we were there. lol
we played putt putt
then we went to a late night or early (depends on how you look at it) breakfast at
then home for some much needed sleep
Sunday morning, it was time to get ready to go to the airport.
Hated saying good bye
So we didn't! We said,
See ya in June!!!!
Just a quick note:
Lisa really didn't drink that much while she was here.
We were doing it more as a joke than anything.
I mean, really, pictures don't lie, do they? lol
We love you both!!!
So glad you came down!
