Super Catch-Up!

I have not been on here for a long time. Why? Life took over. We were so super busy.

We sold our house

On Nov 6th our new grandson, Jaxson arrived! I now have two

 grandsons named Jaxson, Jackson. :)

He's a little Monster

IT'S A BOY!!!!! 9 and a half pounds, 20 and a half inches long. Future football player, just like his dad.

We brought a new one

Went to a Willie Nelson concert on Nov 19th

Ran into our friends, Shelly and Mark 

We moved out of the old and into the new house on Tuesday Nov 26th - 2 days before Thanksgiving. 

FYI- Student Movers are amazing. Unbelievable how hard these 3 guys worked. Would definitely use them again. They are the best. We found them on Angie's List. 

I put the kitchen together quickly

I went shopping on the night of the 26th

Window washers were in on the morning of the 27th, yard guy was here, pool guy was here, guy was here about pricing a new roof, sprinkler guy was here. Busy busy day. 

I cooked most of Thanksgiving dinner on the 27th.

Don's parents came to stay with us on the afternoon of the 27th from Arkansas to get ahold of Jaxson.

Kay and Clint broke down a bunch of boxes for me. Really appreciated that. 

We had everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner on the 28th.

Friday we visited Jacey and Vanessa and didn't get much done

Saturday I steamed all the floors

Took the fireplace apart and cleaned all of it

and pulled the flowers out back with Clint, Kay and Don's help

Don cleaned out all the dead stuff growing behind the pool. It looks great now!

Don worked on a bunch of little things- like getting stuck behind the dryer. lol

Sunday we visited with Don's parents until they went home about 4 pm

Monday I got the Master bath and bedroom put together

Tuesday I got the two master closets put together

Wednesday I got the library off to a great start. Need to get my books out of storage. 

We heated the pool and spa up so Don could change the light in the pool- the one in it was burned out. I got in to measure the light for him so he could stop on the way home and get it. Wow! For me to say the water is too warm just doesn't happen. But it was. It was 99 degrees and it was too warm. lol

I got the laundry room put together

Started to work the ground for my new bamboo coming in. Ran into 2 stumps under ground. Yikes! Can't plant bamboo there until I get that out of there. Called stump removal person.

 Thursday the painters came back to finish

The stump removal guy showed up to see what I needed to have removed. OH NO!!! He says because of the sprinklers and the cables he can't put his machine in that narrow space. We may have to dig it out by hand or use a pick axe on it. Not sure yet. Just know, it has to go.

Set out by the pool and brushed Sammy really well. He loves it here. He can lie on the couch and watch me just about anywhere I am at downstairs because of all of the windows everywhere

We have a new roof going on in January

We have a lot of plans for this house. Hoping to have most of it finished by next Christmas. We are hoping to have ALL  the kids here and grandchildren here for Christmas 2014. And hopefully Don's parents. Can't wait to get everyone together again.

We should get a lot of things done between now and Christmas this year. Don had from Dec 14 until Jan 5 off for vacation. Woo-hoo! That makes me very happy.

We are going to Florida for Christmas. Laci and Kisha will both be there. Super happy about that. 

Also, bringing my bird, Noah back to Texas with us. Wonder how Sammy is going to like him? 

So there is a quick catch up of what we have been doing. Will be back soon. :)
