FILL IN THE BLANK FRIDAY

1.  My favorite feeling in all the world is when I am surrounded by my girls and grandchildren, and know they are all safe and happy.   

2.  My favorite smell is ocean air. I love the smell of being near the ocean. 

3.  My favorite taste is Scallops in Scotland at Silver Darlings. Yep, need to go back there just to get them again.

4. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was  both my daughters eyes the first time they looked into mine, when they were born.  Wow!! That was beautiful.

5. The best sound ever is  the phone ringing when it's my daughters on the other end of it.  Makes my whole day.

6. A smell that reminds me of my childhood is  fresh cut grass on a spring day

7.  My favorite of all the senses is sight. If I had to I could live without sound. There's so many way for the deaf to communicate these days.  I don't think I could stand never seeing the faces, and smiles of my loved ones.

MORE BUSY DAYS!!

The next few days are going to be very busy.  I have so much to do before Wednesday. I am flying to Indiana on Wednesday to go trick-or-treating with Brittany. Sammy is going with me. 

Today, I stopped on the way back from Marriott and found all my boxes, but 1. I found it, but it had a place on it that I didn't like so I have to go to a different

Hobby Lobby and try and find it there.  I love these stores. I have just been getting them for the girls but the guys wondered where theirs was last year, so this year girls, guys, and grandchildren all get one.  That should make everyone happy.  :).   So I am happy to have all the boxes but one. Came home and filled them all up and the ones going to North Carolina will be shipped very soon. 

I have to clean house today, and do laundry because tomorrow we are going to go sell more costumes, and go to a costume party tomorrow night. 

Sunday, I want to spend the day doing something fun with Don and Sammy, then we dance Sunday night. 

Monday, I have to run schools all day, and take posters to the ones I am doing as soon as I get back from Indiana. 

Tuesday is bath day for Sammy, Thats a 2 hour job, do laundry,  them pack, and get everything ready to leave out on Wednesday. 

Plus, I have 4 recipes to whip up and do a review on. 

So the next few days are going to be super busy.  Which means I need to get going right now.

BUSY DAY!!

Yesterday was sooo busy!!

Started the day out with  a pedicure and nails done.

Then had to run some errands for costumes. I found Don's wig and make-up.

I found a couple more boxes for Christmas. I don't do stockings. I do 

"Stockings in  a Box"

 Everyone seems to really enjoy getting these boxes filled with lots of little wrapped goodies inside.

Then home to pack and head to Marriott to meet Don. He was in charge of a dinner his company was putting on. He had to be back there super early this morning so we stayed across the street so he could sleep a little longer.

Got to hotel, got cleaned up and met Don downstairs at 6 for drinks and hors d'oeuvres.  Then dinner and drinks in the bar mingling afterwards.  He works with a lot of really nice people. Then to bed to start another day really early..



Was a busy, busy, busy day.

Dear Sammy, We am sorry  we left you alone tonight. We miss you  probably as much as you are missing me.  I will see you first thing in the morning.

Dear Kisha, I am really sorry you had such a rough day on Jackson's birthday. I know how much you were looking forward to a happy happy day. 

Dear Jackson, I am so proud of you. You have been doing so great in school. Keep up the good work.

Dear Don,  I am looking forward to going to the Halloween party with you Saturday night. It should be a lot of fun.

Dear Donnetta, I am so glad you have stopped smoking. You can do it!  Hang in there. I am looking forward to having lunch with you next week when I get there. 

Dear Brittany, Can't wait to go treat or treating with you, then to the Justin Bieber concert.  I am sure just listening to thousands of little girls screaming will be "music to my ears" :)

Dear Paula Deen, I love, love, love, your cake, but I have to let it go. It's just entirely too unhealthy for us.

That I somehow am stuck on 26 followers. I just started blogging a couple weeks ago and am happy I have 8 flags, Woo-Hoo, I just checked. I had 8 last night, I now have 14.  Happy about that!!

That we have a dinner tonight downtown and stay in a hotel instead of coming home. Sammy will be ok.

If I can't find a grey wig for Don's costume Saturday. He will be just fine without it.

If I love my Sammy Boy as much as I do.  They just don't come anymore loyal then him.

If we didn't go to the gym as much as we should have this week. There's always next week.

It's that spooky time of the year

 again!!!

Trick-or-treaters, costumes, parties, candy, pumpkins and so much more. I have always loved 

Halloween. 

I know their are people that say it's the devil's holiday, or it's all about evil and so on, 

BUT

When I was little I never heard 

anything like that. All we knew

 

 was, we get to dress up, go out and 

 collect candy with your friends. It

 was always fun, and always

 anticipated.

It was always fun to get back home and see what   kinds of candy you got. Then we would play the trade game. I'll give you this if you give me two of those.  lol

If I am not throwing a party, you can bet I am going to one.

This year, Don and I are going to a Halloween costume party. 

We just started taking dance lessons to learn the East Coast Swing. We go once a week on Sunday evening and we are 4 weeks into it.  It's a lot of fun.

 They are having a party and we are going.

We have some great costumes.  We are going as  

  "Mad 

Hatters!!!"

We will 

have to take our tall hats off in order to dance and twirl. But, thats ok!  It will be fun!  

 I am checking costumes to see what we may need to go with them. Need to get everything ready. The party is this coming Saturday. It should be a lot of fun!!

STORING PINEAPPLE

*****This is getting 5 stars. Storing pineapple in orange juice keeps the pineapple fresh. Not dried out.  It has been 4 days since I put the pineapple in the orange juice. The pineapple taste delicious. But the best part of it for me is the juice. I don't 

know if you remember "Donald Duck" orange juice but it was the best ever.  No other orange juice tasted like it. And that's just what the juice taste like. 

  Love it!!!

So I will forever store my pineapple in orange juice from here on out. I hope if you try this, that you will love it as much as I do.
